Input · .qif
What is QIF?
Quicken Interchange Format is a line-based text format for exchanging financial transactions. Each field starts with a letter, and a caret ends each record.
Bank, cash and credit-card records are supported, including dates, payees, memos, numbers and categories. QIF does not declare a currency. Ambiguous dates prompt you to select day-first or month-first order.
Output · .csv
What the CSV file includes
Your QIF transactions become a UTF-8 CSV with consistent columns, ISO dates and exact decimal amounts. Choose a comma or semicolon separator for your spreadsheet or accounting workflow.
Missing fields stay empty. No exchange rates are applied, and text that could be interpreted as a spreadsheet formula is neutralized.

Common questions
Why does the converter ask me to choose a QIF date order?
A date such as 01/02/2026 can mean January 2 or February 1. If the file has no dates that resolve this ambiguity, the converter asks rather than guessing. Currency is left empty because QIF does not supply it.
How do I open a QIF file in Excel?
Excel has no built-in QIF import, so opening the file directly shows raw statement data instead of a transaction table. Choose the file in the converter above, check the preview, then download the CSV file. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice with one row per transaction.
Are my bank files uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are read and converted in your browser. Neither the original file nor the converted data is sent to a server.
Is the converter free to use?
Yes. All supported conversions are free, with no account or subscription required.
Can I convert a PDF bank statement?
PDFs, screenshots, CSV inputs and Excel inputs are not supported. Download a CAMT.053, MT940, OFX, QFX, QBO or QIF export from your bank instead.
Will the exported amounts be rounded?
Amounts are kept as exact decimal strings during conversion and in CSV. Excel has a 15-digit numeric precision limit, so values that exceed safe limits are exported as text. No currency conversion or balance estimation is performed.
